How To Cook A Perfect Steak Indoors

When I was 12 I tried to be a vegetarian. I lasted no more than two days. I just love meat. Steak, chicken, pork chops, double bacon cheeseburgers. I just couldn’t. My husband is also a serious meat-eater. I meal is not a meal without meat. Wednesday night I was getting ready to start the grill when it started raining, not just drizzling, it was pouring rain. No grilling for me. So I turned to the next best way, cooking the steaks on the stove.

Lets Live Yall Perfect Steak start.jpgI use a cast iron pan, it gets a nice even temperature. First pour about half a table-spoon of oil into the cold pan. Take a paper towel and coat the entire bottom of the pan. Turn burner on medium-high.

Lets Live Yall Perfect Steak Done.jpgLet the steak cook for about 3-4 minutes or until your steak is at its desired doneness. And that’s that. Let it rest for a few minutes to retain its juices and then enjoy.
